Where Corporate Lies

Today I will be discussing an important issue in your lives in the present. This would be Corporations and their widespread influence in your culture, society, media, and politics.

Thankfully the dire situation that can erupt from these entities has yet not come to encompass you completely, but if you don't stem the tide soon you will be wishing you had.

In one world line I landed in a group of people over generations had begun to amass wealth. After this had become sufficient enough for them to not have any worries left in their lifetime they became bored and settled into a life of indulgence.

Some of them became philanthropists, too, like one human in your time line called Rockefeller.

The trouble is, when you boil down their actions they are a desperate attempt to stay relevant when the inevitable arrives and death knocks on their door. How could someone do this? Why would someone like Rockefeller spend so much time building schools, amassing more wealth, buying different media?

It's very simple, and scary, yet none-the-less-true: Those who control our History through Media are able to rewrite it.

What better way to keep your name through the dilution of time than to have a cute picture in numerous encyclopedias that glorify many of your actions? Sound far fetched? Don't believe in propaganda? Here, I'll show you....

The above video, as is listed on YouTube seems to deal with X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Except, as you can see, it's not.

This movie is currently the hottest thing at the American box office, besides the new Star Trek.

The person who made this video uploaded it to YouTube and used the popularity of said movie to get people to watch a segment on Fox about a product. I think you and I can agree most likely this is a very clever marketing tact.

It's interesting to note, too, if you watch what media corporations put where on their channels in general you will always see "exclusive!" footage on their news feeds about upcoming movies.

Why would that be?

Because they're peddeling their wares to you in a subtle context, in the light of entertainment news. Now go watch that movie! We like it, and so should you.

Propaganda.

However, this is only one trick up their sleeves. Do you ever buy a piece of music, video game, or movie...and ask who is behind it? You see the credits, and you see the studio roaring out it's name before the film begins.

What else do they own?

Here's a wikipedia entry for NewsCorp. Like good investors, they have acquired a lot of capital through diversifying their portfolio. It's a kind of warfare in it's self, you see. Their tact is distracting you one way or another, giving you outlets to escape the dreary day that comes with being a cubicle slave or retail minion. Not to just bash FOX, here's one for Samsung.

Samsung has a really crazy list of investments...from chemicals, to semiconductors, to a theme park. Don't think that your country's laws protect you from being overran by a multi national corporation, because they don't. In fact, your laws are put in place only to serve those who are in the corporate gain game. They're laws meant to block off, ensure a "level" playing field, while giving them plenty of loop holes to jump through as needed.

The cornerstone of all civilizations and species is communication. But most importantly, it's communication between each other. When you watch a television show, go see a movie, listen to an album, an artist is communicating with you in one way. You begin to feel good about their work if you like it, and sometimes many of you attempt to reach out to your giver's of product.

By 3100 A.D. Celebrateriaism became their overall Religious model. You're only just now seeing the beginnings of this through tabloids and TMZ. Why do people watch sports? Or entertain themselves with anything, really? Why do our media makers make so much money?

Because they make you feel better about your life. You're living their life vicariously. And they'll tell you it's a hard life to live, acting is tough to cut, and it's a world filled with danger. Well, so is all of our world. It's also a world filled with love, determination, and compassion. It's never too late!

Through the use of media, by 3100 A.D. corporations have asserted themselves as the dominant ruler of the world. People were all too busy working like a bee and enjoying honey on their days off they just forgot to watch for signs of overthrow.

And it happened. They manipulated their stock markets, through the power of politicians who were well paid, and the economy the world over began to collapse. The world shook, people began to live a life more filled with fear, hate, disdain...cementing their need to escape more into the corporate's ultimate weapon of control: acting like they're just like us, giving you new things to try. Propagating their propaganda, laughing all the way to the bank (that they just might own.)

The future, as I previously mentioned, begins with you. When you're ready, you'll walk hand-to-hand with us. Anarchy, as it's described is a dirty, dirty word. It tells you that without governmental rule and corporate subjugation your world is without hope.

But don't believe that.

When your species finally decides to quit running over each other in the name of "progress," you'll truly begin to see some major milestone profits.
