Our Future Arrives Through Our Actions Today
I have currently travelled to a high point in your history, humanity. This would be to the time in your current calendar system called 3100 A.D.
The point to remember, though, is that I've only seen some of the possible outcomes of 3100 A.D. Some have been horrific, but many are great. Still others are just dandy, just need some fine tuning.
Which 3100 do you want to help your species walk into?
The trick is, however, what word line you want to merge with begins with your actions today.
Allow me to provide you some of the technologies and scientific laws behind this whole journey of mine. I have been gifted with the ability to transcend space and time, and I assure you I will not waste my time--
or yours.

I became aware of John Titor through his dubious posts to the internet. I've always been searching for someone like me, and when I found them, I wasn't completely able to believe he was as me. But it turns out, it didn't matter...I had the ability to take over his soul and issue commands to keep him in line.
His mechanism of travel utilizes worm hole technology and I'm guessing zero point energy. (Hey, I don't invent this stuff, I just hack* it.)
The thing is, you must realize, however, is that it's really difficult with even computational devices from 3100 to keep up with all of the metrics needed to be planned out to travel from one point in time to another.
Because, after all, I'm not just traversing time. I'm traversing space. And totally different, yet mostly parallel dimensions. Ever heard of the grandfather paradox? It doesn't really exist, you see. If you go back into time you're creating a separate path that your own conscious reality now follows. If you kill your Dad, or even yourself all you're doing is...killing something that is mirrorly a reflection of you.
You, however, still exist.
This is the key to what I've begun to do. I travel time, and yes, even space, with another technology I'll share with you later.
My message is of peace, is of hope. Quit worrying about your regrets, what you may or may not do. Worry about your actions, take that first step and help steer your life and community into the direction you wish it to go.
I'm sure you'll find the permutations I've seen fascinating, and probably for many, something they'd like to see in their own lives. It all begins with you!

Still thinking upon the grandfather paradox...it's sort of like a butterfly effect, right?

Yes, the grandfather paradox I suppose is "sort of" like a butterfly effect, in that they're both easy to understand through a simple thought experiment. ;)
Actually, to be more specific--the butterfly effect deals with chaos theory. It basically says that any minute difference in initial conditions in a dynamic/open system can cause wildly divergent and great deviances in the long run for said system.
There's a movie, I'm sure you may have seen that utilizes this idea to talk about time travel and different "what-if" scenarios. But to not totally be dodgy, perhaps it's best to think of it this way:
Let's say I'm going to make a cake: eggs, flour, water, sugar. If I varied what ingredients I put in said cake, even by a pinch more or less the outcome would vary and have profound affects. Maybe with a lil more egg I go on to rule the snake cake world, or a bit more flour I kill someone.
You get the idea, right?
Whereas the Grandfather Paradox is more of a closed system event. Basically, it involves you and one of your grandparants. Let's say you have a time machine, you go back through time, and prevent them from meeting each other.
Your parents would no longer be, hence how could you be alive yourself? But here's the kicker--if you did cause this to happen--how did you time travel to begin with? This means that you must not have been able to travel back at all and so your grandparents DID meet and you WERE born. It's basically a logic loop.
Proponents of this mind boggling question have used this to discredit time travel. Except they've not fully come to grasp with one basic concept: when you travel back in time it's impossible to end up in your exact past or future.
It's more akin to the old time television series Sliders. Yes, I am able to traverse time and repeat (or see future events) that have occurred. But I'm not just sliding from one end of the spectrum of time to another, I'm creating a divergent quantum path that is now a new and separate universe.
So if I wanted to kill my grandfather, I certainly could. It just wouldn't be "my" grandfather, because the other me that is native to that reality has yet to be born.
